Heroes

In 1998, The Wallflowers covered David Bowie’s “Heroes” which became a song that would be used in the “Godzilla” movie.

Babybird

“Babybird” from the album “Breach” is played in “Roswell” the sci-fi teen show about aliens. The scene is in season two episode 10 that aired in 2000, where Liz (Shiri Appleby) and Maria (Majandra Delfino) have a talk in the park.

You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away

Keeping it in 2001, in the movie “I am Sam ” you can hear the song “I’m Looking Through You” which is a cover of The Beatles song by the same name. This happened because the producers of the movie could not get the rights to the original records of The Beatles song, so they got different bands and singers to make covers of their songs to use for the soundtrack. This song plays when Sam (Sean Penn) makes his way up the street to visit Lucy (Dakota Fanning). She is at her new home.
